On April 28, 2023, according to the relevant provisions of Liaoning Science and Technology Award, the Liaoning Science and Technology Award Committee Office released the outcomes of the Liaoning Science and Technology Award 2022. The collaborative effort between Shenyang Blower Works Group Petroleum&Chemical Pumps Co. Ltd. and Zhongyuan Oilfield Branch of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Co., Ltd successfully secured the third prize in the 2022 Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award for their exceptional work on the "Localization and Development of High Pressure Multi-stage Centrifugal Pump for High Sulfur Natural Gas Purification Unit" project.

The project focuses on addressing technical challenges related to the optimized design of vane pumps under varying working conditions and multiple target requirements. It also tackles the hydraulic optimization technology for multi-stage centrifugal pumps, bridging the technological gap in China. The project's successful development has resulted in high-pressure multi-stage centrifugal pump products for China's natural gas purification devices, achieving complete import substitution. This achievement elevates the technical standards of pump products in China, opening up opportunities for exporting pump products and capturing foreign markets.
