Shenyang Blower Works Group Petroleum & Chemical Pumps Co., Ltd. has a rich heritage spanning over 90 years, tracing its origins back to 1932 when the EBARA water pump manufacturing institute was established. In 1949, Shenyang No.6 Machine Factory emerged as a pioneer in China, independently designing common components and paving the way for the domestic production of centrifugal pumps. It played a crucial role in supporting the development of the basic industry of China and quickly became the leading pump factory in Asia by 1953. We pioneer the establishment of a comprehensive design and manufacturing standard system for the Chinese pump industry, play a vital role in supporting the growth of centrifugal pump manufacturing enterprises, particularly in the third line. Through our efforts, we have nurtured and deployed a significant number of skilled professionals and technical experts, fueling the rapid advancement of the pump industry as a whole. In 2004, Shenyang Blower Works Group Petroleum & Chemical Pumps Co., Ltd. responded to national policies and underwent a strategic reorganization of three plants, embracing adaptability and actively contributing to the localization of key equipment such as rapid cooling oil, rapid cooling water, alkylated hydrocarbon pumps, acid pumps, and hot water circulation pumps. This marked a significant breakthrough in breaking the monopoly of imported equipment. In 2020, Shenyang Blower Works Group Petroleum & Chemical Pumps Co., Ltd. underwent ownership reform, introducing advanced management concepts and establishing a foundation based on legacy, learning, innovation, compatibility, quality, and efficiency. This laid the groundwork for sustainable innovation and development within the enterprise. With a century-long commitment, our Company continues to shoulder the responsibility and dedication of ensuring national equipment security, making valuable contributions to the nation.

In the Phase III of the "Dongshen Water Supply Project" initiated by Guangdong Province, a closed pipeline spanning 83 kilometers will be constructed to facilitate the transportation of domestic water to regions including Hong Kong. This ambitious undertaking necessitates the installation of large-scale adjustable vertical slant flow pumps. Through numerous arduous battles, Shenyang Water Pump successfully secured 16 orders. After an intensive effort spanning nearly two years, we successfully accomplished the manufacturing of three-dimensional twisted impellers, elevating the quality of our pump products to the international advanced standard. A remarkable milestone was achieved as 16 sets of pumps underwent rigorous testing and emerged triumphant, ready to be deployed to the "Dongshen Water Supply Project" site. The delivery of these 16 sets of 62000HETXJ large vane adjustable vertical oblique flow pumps not only addressed a national void but also shattered the foreign monopoly that

Technology introduction

Shenyang Water Pump Factory, with its roots dating back to 1932, was established following the liberation of the region. It emerged from the remnants of the original EBARA water pump manufacturing institute, which was left behind by the occupying forces.

In 1979, we initiated a significant milestone by introducing advanced design, manufacturing, and inspection technologies for the CHTA series high-pressure boiler feed pump.In 1985, we achieved another significant breakthrough by assimilating cutting-edge design, manufacturing, and inspection technologies for the 1400HB type vertical inclined flow pump.

In 1984, we made notable strides in our capabilities by incorporating advanced design, manufacturing, and inspection technologies for SJA, DSJH, and GSJH type process pumps from U.S.A.

In 1984, we achieved a significant advancement in our capabilities by assimilating state-of-the-art design, manufacturing, and inspection technologies for offshore injection pumps from British M+P company.

In 2009, a major milestone was reached with the establishment of Shengyang Blower ClydeUnion Pump Co., Ltd. This marked a significant achievement as we successfully completed the process of technology introduction, absorption, and transformation.

In 2013, SBW Group embarked on the Phase II of technology introduction in collaboration with the renowned US GE company. This initiative encompassed the introduction of petrochemical pump technology. SBW Group has successfully acquired comprehensive expertise in design, manufacturing, quality control, testing, and complete product solutions for all types of pumps used in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry. This proficiency has been attained through collaboration with GE, enabling us to leverage advanced research and development capabilities in this field.

SBW Group remains steadfast in its technology development strategy, continuously striving towards the advancement of "high-grade, precision and advanced" products and cutting-edge technologies. As a testament to our commitment, we allocate a significant portion, specifically 5% of our annual sales revenue, towards the development of new products.

In the year 2000, SBW Group took a significant step forward by establishing a national enterprise technology center. Subsequently, we set up four national technology sub-centers in renowned academic institutions such as Dalian University of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northeastern University, and Zhejiang University. These sub-centers are dedicated to advancing SBW Group's research and development initiatives. To further enhance our research capabilities, we also established the first postdoctoral research workstation in Liaoning Province. Moreover, we have released key scientific research topics and pursued cutting-edge frontier technologies, fostering a culture of innovation within the organization.

SBW Petrochemical Pump Company boasts an extensive portfolio of thousands of top-notch hydraulic models. In our relentless pursuit of innovation, we leverage advanced research and development methods to drive our product R&D efforts. Two key entities, namely SBW Research Institute and SBW & DUT Research Institute, play instrumental roles in this process. These research institutes specialize in conducting comprehensive flow field analysis and optimizing hydraulic components. They also undertake critical tasks such as strength and fatigue analysis of pump parts, rotor dynamics analysis, torsional vibration analysis, and seismic analysis (specifically for nuclear power applications).

The design software utilizes agile engineering design software from Concepts/NREC, finite element analysis software called ANSYS COSMOS CAL47, and flow field analysis software called NUMECA, among others.
